Gigacalories from garbage: inverters GUBKIN-INNOVATION generate thermal energy during waste disposal

September 2021, Petrozavodsk

In the first month of the heating season, the GUBKIN-INNOVATION company in Petrozavodsk calculated how much dissipating heat energy the average complex produces during waste disposal.

According to the measurements and calculations, the hydrogen inverter HI-2 with a processing volume of 200 kg of waste per hour (40% of the load capacity of a standard garbage can) gives 172.8 Gcal per month. This amount of heat is enough to heat 308 one-room apartments with an area of 35 sq. m in winter with an average heat consumption of 0.56 Gcal per month.

Obtaining energy during waste disposal and using it as a source of heating became possible thanks to the waste heat system, which is equipped with the equipment GUBKIN-INNOVATION.

Evgeny Pichugin, general Director of GUBKIN-INNOVATION:

"Waste does not require pre-sorting before disposal and becomes a ready, cost-effective and daily renewable energy resource. The destruction of garbage in a hydrogen inverter occurs due to a plasma-chemical reaction under the influence of high temperatures, which destroy all harmful chemical elements. Unlike incineration, plasma technology does not create emissions of furans, cyanides and dioxins into the atmosphere and forms a safe steam-gas mixture at the exit of the installation, which is converted into energy and directed to the needs of industrial enterprises and urban economy."

The amount of heat generated does not depend on what kind of solid or liquid waste is destroyed by the hydrogen inverters of GUBKIN-INNOVATION - household, biomedical, industrial or agricultural. The units operate 24/7 and, depending on the model, consume from 2 to 36 kW/hour, from 0.004 to 1.5 cubic meters of clean or polluted water/hour. The equipment is serviced by 2 specialists: one loads garbage, the second monitors the operation of the systems at the control panel.
